Laurie Spoon wears many hats:
consultant, advisor, leader, educator, artist and confidant.
Laurie can help you and your organization in so many ways.
Above and beyond
Besides wildly creative, Laurie is a prolific storyteller, visionary, events producer, political strategist and communications planner. She produces live events and advises on business plans. She is a connect-the-dots master and a mediocrity-bucking bronco. She opposes the mundane way of doing things and is a radical agent for betterment.
Radical agent for change
From her stint as property manager in Oakland County, Michigan, to sports writer covering the Detroit Red Wings, to record promoter for Gladys Knight and The Pips, to acting as national singles promotion director for Hall & Oates to co-chair of the United Way campaign, Ms. Spoon has earned respect and made waves like nobody’s business.
She’s made waves alright. More like tsunamis.
Likes to buck the mundane
But it didn’t stop there. She was a radio talk show host, a hospital communications manager in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, and a communications director for a Kansas City mayor. She was a former ice skater, real estate agent and video producer. She’s embarked in tap and ballroom dancing (stunk at ballroom), worked on Rose Parade floats, and was a marketing chief for St. Joseph-Bon Secours Hospital in Florida. She was the general manager of a record label in Nashville and a speechwriter for politicians and Silicon Valley CEO types.
Nothing here is malarkey
What hasn’t she done? Well, not much. And she is regularly drawn to helping others—four-legged, furry companions and people alike. She has found homes for more than 20 stray dogs and she is currently building opportunities for professional women aged 50+ who are facing unemployment in the current job market.
Talented. And a big heart. Yes. That’s Laurie.
